2,500 to Recruit and Train the Jobless

Wed 14 January 2009, Category: Recruit for Less

At a Job Summit held in London on 12th January 2009, Prime Minister Gordon Brown vowed to inject £500m into helping the unemployed get back to work. He also wants to encourage employers to recruit the jobless by offering them financial incentives of up to £2,500.

Brown said: "We know that any action we take has costs, but the biggest cost of all would be the cost of doing nothing. Failure to act now and to do so in coordination with our international partners would mean a deeper and longer global recession, temporary rises in unemployment becoming permanent, it would mean whole communities written off and that would mean lasting damage to our economy and a bigger bill to pay in the future and that will not happen on my watch."

He also said that there are currently half a million jobs available and people are still recruiting. Unemployment in the UK is at its highest level since 1997 @ 1.86 million. With job losses being reported  almost daily I for one would be keen to see how this new plan develops.

For those firms looking to recruit and spend a minimal amount of budget in the process then you should outsource your recruitment process, the buddy way {Fixed Fee ~ Stress Free}, and see its impact on your bottom line! It’s a no brainer……!
